Dear friends, since months we have no news about our friend Mel Smith, and his site whosaway.com is not on-line anymore.

I found this obituary:

Mel since 2011 had devoted time and effort to support the community of programmers. He put on his server (whosaway.com) many versions of Harbour/xHarbour, compilers, libraries, and everything useful for xbase
programmers.

Every 6 months or so he traveled from South to North and vice-versa, moving also his server to keep online whosaway.com. He politely announced every time that the site would have beeen down for a couple of days. Many times some of us wished him a good travel... many kilometers to go by car, for a senior alone.

He was a passionate golf player, and often when he planned to examine something he announced "tomorrow, today golfing!"

I was in touch with him for a while 15 years ago or so.

R.I.P Mel, we will remember your committment and valuable contribution.
