I never heard about this library before. Unfortunately I can't help you. I can well imagine that library has some interesting features, but you could use some other similar library, could not? Perhaps migrate to [x]Harbour wich has several good graphics libraries. And some of them are very friendly to those coming from Clipper. Think about.

Yes Gforce is an old grafic lib for clipper (1995 i think) of Calypso Software
It's very interesting for its graphic aspect of an application
Sure that fivewin, harbour is more adapted ! I try i this time to learn those
I have some difficulties to understand how to compile and link project but i work for this !
I Hope someone heard something about Gforce, That will be fine !

I'm 'working on a source using this lib : i send you it in the next message
And i'll have a question programming a routine for using RGB colrs ( to create an effect of dimming some picture )
in the source i'm gonna send you will find 2 functions named 'wpalwup' and 'vpalwdn' which are not presents in this version of gforce.lib (2.10)
i'm trying to make them ( it's a question to fill a buffer...)
the source code i get : it's with valkyrie5 i have do ti

to compile with clipper 5.xx ( i have test only with clipper 5.01 to 5.2e ) use 'compile.bat' after place the iclude and lib files in clipper directory

Many thanks Jean for your demos. I have tried in my WINXP PC, but its a runtime error during execution, due NTVDM and 16 bits app. So I tested in WIN98 and it worked fine.

My advices is to try to use other plataform in 32 bits in order to avoid difficulties with graphicals performs. Actually with can use xHarbour with is quite compactible with almost all Clipper codes in conjunction with others libraries like as MiniGUI, HwGUI and FiveWin too. All inm 32 bits wich has been demmanded by actual hardware and OS in 64bits. I think in 16 bits now is not very used any more.

But thank you for the experience is in good order but I prefer to start using other language for GUI apps.

Thank's for trying this graphical lib : yes it is not easy with 32bits, but in mode 18 (VGA 640X640 16c) it seems to work
Sure i'm trying Harbour, xharbour and all in 32 bits, but i begin
I use delphi and visual basic normally.
If you have a moment could you help me to make a routine for the effect of fadein & fadeout using the vga palette :
Gforce have vgetpal ,vsetpal, vdrawbmp to make this, but i don't succed for the moment:'m tryng with thlib cpt & cp
(CTOOlS 3 nantucket ) with function vgapalette (variation of RGB values) but i don't know how to associate a bmp with this function !
