Se eu voltar o incremental, o próximo vai procurar buraco livre, ou sempre vai ser máximo + 1 ?

Dúvida sobre MySQL
ALTER TABLE test AUTO_INCREMENT = 1000hazael escreveu:Em qualquer SQL, mesmo no DBF, sempre é incremental, considere que será um número único na existência daquela tabela, nunca será usando por outra linha
O valor pode ser alterado, mas não vai ter checagem de repetido.
Achei estranho, mas é isso que diz nas pesquisas.
